Saratoga 2 Community Solar Farm spans 24 acres in Middle Gove, New York, where it provides Community Solar Credits to households in the National Grid service area, saving nearby residents 10% on their electricity costs without any installations or homeownership requirements. It harnesses enough renewable energy from the sun to provide clean, local electricity to more than 500 local households each year. Since New York subscribers benefit from state policies that support consolidated billing, subscribers get to see their savings show up directly on their National Grid utility bill so they do not need any provide any form of payment to Neighborhood Sun for the discounted Community Solar Credits generated by their share.
