The Frederick Community Solar Farm is comprised of 5,940 solar panels on land that used to be a produce farm. Neighboring farmers are in full support of this community solar farm as it will provide clean energy savings to approximately 350 local households. No land was moved for the construction of this community solar farm, and these solar panels will be recycled by Haris Design after use.
For every dollar households currently pay PEFE for dirty fossil fuels, they could be paying Neighborhood Sun 90 cents for the renewable energy generated by their community solar share instead. Subscribe to reserve your share before they're all gone so you can start saving as soon as the community solar farm starts generating clean energy for your community this summer!
March 6, 2023:
Construction for the Frederick Community Solar Farm is completed, but there is 1 piece of equipment required for connection to PEFE that was backordered. Frederick Community Solar Farm will start generating clean energy by the end of May so its subscribers can start saving money by July.
You get a share of the output from a community solar farm in your area while earning a credit on your bill, lowering your electricity costs.
