Get to Know Your Solar Farm!
The Henryton project is located right at the edge of Howard County, neighboring Carroll and Baltimore County. While the site is technically located in Marriottsville, an eastern neighbor of Henryton, it is located just off of Maryland-99 (also know as Old Frederick Road) on Henryton Road, thus earning it the name Henryton Solar Farm. It also sits right below the southwest tip of the expansive Patapsco Valley State park near the McKeldin Area.
The site itself is on private land and is predominantly focused on supply energy to BGE’s low- and moderate-income (LMI) residents. Over 175 spots are dedicated to LMI customers, with another 175 spots open to others in the utility territory.
